OrdersTracker lets you create as many products as required under the desired category. For example, under Pizza category, you can add different pizza products such as Cheese pizza, Veggie pizza, Margherita pizza etc.
The process for creating a product is as follows:
- Tap in the Top Bar.
A popup menu displays. - From the popup menu, tap Master Data.
- Under Master Data, tap Menu.
The list of the existing menu categories displays. - Tap Products for the category under which you want to add a product.
The list of products exists under the category displays. - Tap Add Product.
A dialog displays where you have to specify certain parameters to add a new product. This dialog consists of the following tabs: Product, Extended, Side Dishes, Stock, Price.
- Specify the following parameters under these tabs:
Product
This tab lets you specify the basic parameters, such as Name, Description, Ingredients, Additives, etc.
The details of parameters available in this section are as follows:
- SKU: Lets you specify a unique number (Stock Keeping Unit) to the product.
- Name: Specifies the name of the product. This field is mandatory.
- Description: Specifies the description of the product. It helps the waiters and customers to get the details about the product while ordering.
- Enter Ingredients Individually. Lets you define the ingredients used in the product. This feature helps the waiters to remove ingredients easily while taking orders. For example, you can add Mushrooms, Mozzarella, Pepper, etc. as ingredients for a “Fungi Pizza”.
To add ingredients for a product:- Under Enter Ingredients Individually, type ingredient name and then “,” or tap on blue plus button.
For example, to specify a Mushroom as ingredient, type Mushroom and then “,”.
The Ingredient is added.
Use the above step to add as many ingredients as required.
- Under Enter Ingredients Individually, type ingredient name and then “,” or tap on blue plus button.
- Enter all additives: Lets you define the additives used in the product. This feature helps the waiters and customer to see which additives are used in the product.
To add additives for a product:
- Under Enter all additives, type additive name and “,” or tap on the blue plus button.
Use the above step to add as many additives as required.
- Under Enter all additives, type additive name and “,” or tap on the blue plus button.
Extended
This section lets you define special wishes, barcode, and pictures related to the products. You can also specify whether the product should be available for self-ordering or not.
The details of the parameters available in this section are as follows:
- Special Wish: Lets you define the special wishes which are mostly asked by customers. This feature helps the waiters to select customers wishes instead of writing them while taking orders.
For example, you can define “Well cooked” or “Medium cooked” as special wishes related to a steak.
To add special wishes for a product:- Under Special Wish, type wish and “,” or tap on the blue plus button.
The wish is added.
Use the above step to add as many wishes as required.
- Under Special Wish, type wish and “,” or tap on the blue plus button.
- Exclude from Self Ordering: Enable this option if you want the product to be excluded from self-ordering. The product will not be available for the customers at the time of self-ordering if enabled. By default, this option is disabled.
- Barcode: Lets you specify a barcode value specific to this product. With a scanner the product could be found and ordered quite easily.
- Picture: Lets you upload one or multiple pictures for the product.
To upload pictures:- Tap click here to Upload Files.
- Browse and select the desired images from the photos or gallery. You can select one or multiple pictures for the product.
The width of the selected image should be more than its height to get the optimal resolution. |

Side Dishes
This section lets you define the side dishes to be served along with the product. For example, you can define “French fries” as a side dish to be served along with a “Beef steak”.
To add side dishes for a product:
- Specify the following parameters.
Name: Specify the name of the side dish to be added. For example, French Fries.
Price: Specify the price of the side dish. - Tap on the plus button
Use the above steps to add as many side dishes as required.
You can also delete an existing side dish. To do so: Tap for the side dish you want to delete.
The side dish is deleted.
Stock
This section lets you specify the total quantity of the product available in the stock. You can receive an alert when the quantity of the product gets below to a specified number. Similarly, you can set a product as sold out.
The details of the parameters available in this section are as follows:
- Stock Size: Specifies the total quantity of the product available in the stock. You should update this number each time you update the stock.
- Stock Size for a warning email: The system generates an alert Email when the stock size gets below to the number specified in this field. This feature helps you update the stock at right time.
- Mark as sold out when finished: Enable this option to mark the product as sold out when its quantity reaches to ‘0’ in the stock. By default, this option is disabled.
- Is Sold out: Enable this option to mark the product as sold out anytime. By default, this option is disabled. The waiters will not be allowed to take orders for the product which is marked as sold out.
If self-ordering is activated, customer will not be allowed to order this product either.
Price
This section lets you define as many price categories as required. A price category consists of a portion size and portion price. If any portions are defined of the belonging product category, they will display here as well. If no portion is defined at category level, then a Standard portion will display by default.
To add a price category:
- Specify the following parameters:
- Portion Size: Lets you specify the portion size. For example, Large, Medium, or Small.
- Portion Price: Lets you specify the price of the portion.
- Tap the plus button
A row adds in the list below.
Use the above method to add as many portions as required.
After specifying all the properties, tap Add.
