Manage Orders In-Delivery

OrdersTracker lets you manage the delivery of orders through the Delivery System.

To learn step-by-step process of sending your orders for delivery, please read below.

Once the order is sent from the Kitchen Display, you will have the option to send it for delivery via courier. In case you do not have any in-house delivery employees for courier, then the 2nd Tab for In-Delivery will not be visible under the Delivery System. The Tab is visible only after you add an employee and assign the role of courier. To learn more, check our Employee Management articles.

Assign to Courier #

To send your order for delivery, follow the steps below.

  1. Tap  in the Top Bar.
    A popup menu displays.
  2. From the popup menu, tap Delivery System.

  1. Select the customer who’s order you would like to send and click on the Assign to a courier button.

  1. A dialog box will appear asking you to select the courier person. Click on the radio button to select a courier. In case no employee is appearing, check our article for reference.
    There are two options to choose from: Assign, Assign and Pay.

In case your courier employees handle delivery along with payment via OrdersTracker App, select the option for Assign. The payment will be handled by the courier upon delivering the order. Don’t worry – you will be able to keep track of the delivery as well as payments.

In case your courier employee(s) do no handle the payments and are only delivering the orders via OrdersTracker App, select the option for Assign and Pay.

By using OrdersTracker, you can also handle in-house payments by following same Pay option.

Using Option “Assign” #
  1. Let’s select the first option for Assign. Once done, the dialog box will disappear and your order will be sent to the designated courier employee for delivery and payment.
  1. If you click on the order again, you will notice the updated green icons indicating the current status i.e. In-Delivery.

Using Option “Assign and Pay” #
  1. To understand the second option, we have selected the courier employee and the Assign and Pay.
  1. A dialog box for payments is displayed. You can enter the payment details along with the payment modes used such as Cash, Card, Voucher and finalize the payment. System will display the Remaining balance as well.

Tracking the Delivery #

By using the Delivery System, you not only manage the orders and their delivery, but also keep track of your courier employees. Just click on the In-Delivery tab and system will show you map with live location of all riders/couriers. The locations are updated every time a distance of 50 meters is covered. This live view can assist you in managing deliveries more effectively and assigning more orders as couriers start to reach back to your restaurant.

Delivering the Order #

Once the orders are sent for delivery by assigning to courier employees, they can login to their OrdersTracker App to complete the delivery process.

  • Courier employee can login with the username and password as defined under the Employee Management section.
  • By default, they will be able to view the Orders for Delivery with options as shown in the image below. Each option is explained with the numbering.

  1. Map View: You can switch between Map View and List View. The view in the image above is List View. Map View sample is given below.

  1. Calculate the best route: In case of multiple orders, user can select this option and based on locations, system will sort the orders according to the fastest route possible.
  2. Route: For individual order, user can select Route and navigate to the destination from current location using either Google Maps or Apple Maps (depending upon the device).
  3. Delivered: This option will appear against the orders which are already paid since the option for Assign and Pay was selected under the Delivery System. Courier user simply taps on this option and status of the order will be updated as delivered. No action related to payment is required.
  4. Pay: This option will appear against the orders with Assign option selected. Courier user will have to enter the payment details upon delivering the order. Payment screen is same throughout the App.
