Managing Retail Sales

The Retail Sale section lets you take and deliver the orders to customers instantly, without sending the orders to the kitchen. This section displays all the available categories and their belonging articles. You can select the desired article based on your customer requirements, specify the quantity and extras, and get the required bill payment from the customer.

The Retail Sale section is not accessible by default. To access Retail Sale, you must enable it first through POS Settings. To enable Retail Sales section, refer to Enabling Retail Sales below.

Enabling Retail Sales #

To enable Retail Sales:

  1. Tap in the Top Bar.
    A popup menu displays.
  2. From the popup menu, tap Settings.
  3. Under Settings, tap Common Settings.
  4. Under Common Settings, tap POS settings.
    The POS Settings page displays.
  5. In this page, enable Activate the retail POS module.
    On enabling this option, Retail Sale section will become available under Menu.

Accessing Retail Sale #

The procedure for accessing the Retail Sale section is as follows:

  1. Tap in the Top Bar.
    A popup menu displays.
  2. From the popup menu, tap Retail Sale.

Adding Items to Cart #

In Retail Sale Section, you can access the available categories and choose the desired articles to add them in the cart.

The procedure for adding items in the cart is as follows:

  1. In Retail Sale, tap the category whose articles you want to select. For example, if you want to choose any drink item, then tap “Drinks” category.
    The items of the selected category display.

  2. From the items list, tap the item you want to add in the cart.
    Tap the item as many times as you want it to be added in the cart. For example, if you tap a Coke drink two times, it will be added in the cart twice.
    Once an item is added in the cart, a badge counter will display at the top right of the menu item. It indicates the number of times an item is added in the cart. For example, if a drink is added twice in the cart, then 2 will display in the badge counter along with drink.
  3. Now go back by tapping Back and tap Pay at the top right to access the cart items.
    The list of the items added in the cart displays.

Managing Items in Cart #

In Cart, you can view the list of added items. You can also view the count of total items and their total price at the top in Cart.

In cart, you can perform the following operations:

  • Specifying Item’s Quantity
  • Specifying Extras for an Item
  • Excluding Ingredients
  • Deleting an Item from Cart
  • Getting Payment

Specifying Item’s Quantity #

In Cart, you have the option to specify an item’s quantity as required. To do so:

  1. In Cart list, tap + or – for an item to increase or decrease an item’s quantity.


    By default, quantity of an item is specified as 1x. On increasing or decreasing an item’s quantity, its price will also be changed accordingly.

For example, if an item’s quantity is 1x, then or tapping “+” once its quantity will be increased to 2x.

Specifying Extras for an Item #

You can add extras for an item added in the cart if desired.

To do so:

  1. In Cart list, tap icon for the item for which extras are required.
    The Extra option displays below on tapping the icon.

  2. Tap Extra.
    The list of extras defined for the selected item displays.
  3. Tap icon for the extras you want to specify for the selected item.
    The extras are selected. The quantity of an extra can be increased or decreased through and icons.

    In this dialog, you can also type any extra wish related to the item, if required.
  4. After selecting the desired extras, tap Apply.
    The extras selected for an item can be seen along with the Item name in the cart.

Excluding Ingredients #

You can exclude the certain ingredients which a customer doesn’t required for an item in the cart.

To do so:

  1. In Cart list, tap icon for the desired item.
    The Without option displays below on tapping the icon.

  2. Tap Without.
    The list of ingredients defined for the selected item displays.

  3. Check the ingredients you don’t want to include for the selected item.
  4. Tap Apply.
    The selected ingredients will be excluded for the selected item.

Deleting an Item from Cart #

You can delete any item from the cart if required.

To do so:

  1. In Cart list, tap icon for the desired item.
    The Delete option displays below.

  2. Tap .
    The system prompts to confirm the deletion of an item from the cart.
  3. Tap Yes to confirm the deletion of the selected item.
    The selected item removes from the cart.

Getting Payment #

Once all the required items are added in the cart, you can initiate the payment process and get the required total payment from the customer.

To do so:

  1. Tap Pay at the bottom of the cart.
    The Pay Together page displays.

  2. Specify the following parameters by using the keypad available on this page.
    1. Sub Total: Displays the total bill calculated on the basis of the items added in the cart. If you are allowed to add a discount for the customer, you can do this by performing the following steps.
      1. Tap Add discount.
        The Discount dialog displays.

      2. Enter the discount through the keypad available on this dialog. The discount can be specified in either percentage or fixed amount.
      3. Tap Apply after specifying the required discount.
        The discount applies and the bill updates accordingly.
    2. To be paid: Displays the bill to be paid by the customer. If a discount is provided to the customer, the bill to be paid will be updated accordingly.
    3. Paid: Enter the amount paid by the customer.
    4. Remaining: Enter the remaining amount.
    5. Payment Type. Select the available payment method from the dropdown. The following payments methods are supported.
      1. Voucher
      2. Card
      3. Cash

To make a payment method available under Payment Type dropdown, it must be activated through “Payment Type Settings”.

Once the payment process completes, tap Finish Payment.
